Hi all

Not sure if anyone can help me! I’ve got my l&p foundation exam in October and i’m finishing up my portfolio.
Where it says 5 infill/backfill, is it 5 made up of either or 5 of both?

Also im nervous as to what is being looked for in the practical exam.  Can anyone shed any light on this? Hoping that my nails are good enough to pass!

Hi Vicki smile
An infill/backfill means replacing acrylic in cuticle and smile area. Your model should have one hand with old acrylic on that is ready for a infill/backfill. So you will do a fresh set on the other hand. Hope this helps x

That’s brilliant thank you. Only thing is it says on the exam info sheet to do a backfill/rebalance replacing product in all 3 zones, so which will it be (or doesn’t it matter?). Also it says to use elation tips, do you specifically have to use these or are dura tips ok? That’s what we were trained with x

You will replace product in zone 1 at the smile line, then just behind in zone 2 then at cuticle in zone 3. Either elation or dura tips are ok x Good luck x
