Hi everyone - I have just bought a pot of the mirror powder in Silver as I want to achieve the chrome look. However I would really appreciate some guidance on the best method. As I understand it, the product works best with a tack free top coat like Glaze n Go which can only be used over gel or acrylic overlay, and not the natural nail.
I want to offer chrome nails to clients with both natural nails and tips.
Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Jill,
there are a number of ways of achieving the chrome look.
Firstly a non wipe topcoat as you mentioned.
You can also dry wipe a topcoat that usually has to be wiped. Use a lint free wipe for this but it must be dry.
Also if you use shellac you can wet wipe your second coat of colour. Make sure all the tackiness is wiped away. Then add your chrome powder before applying topcoat. As far as I know shellac is the only one that can be done like this. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
Once the powder has been applied (all 3 methods) I would topcoat twice.
Also a little tip. I apply the powder with my finger as it’s so much easier.
Hope this helps xx
